CARMEN LEIGH
Carmen Leigh, who's real name is Racquel Sinclair, is an artist from the UK. Born to Jamaican and Dominican parents in 1984, Carmen was brought up in East London's very own Stratford and from the age of 3 Carmen's talents began to shine through. Singing and dancing was something that Carmen Leigh loved to do and and as she grew up Carmen began getting involved in her local youth centre street dancing classes where she was able to perform across London and around the borough of Newham.
DANCING
Carmen joined 'Ruff Stuff' at the age of 7 until she was 16 which was a all Hip Hop, R&B and Contemporary dance group from East London. Carmen mastered the art of hip hop techniques and performed in many schools, centres and Theatres in the West End and within her Borough. Just being kids, they had a very large audience who followed them on their journey and were also picked up by local newspapers who wanted to show the talents off to many, then becoming an inspiration to other young aspirational children. When Carmen Left 'Ruff Stuff' she then joined a more advanced street dance group called Boy Blue ent. Carmen's technique advanced to locking, popping and break dancing.

Although Carmen’s background began with music and street dancing, she always had a passion for modelling. MUSIC
Having spent years in the modelling and presenting field, Carmen is now at a place in her career where music is the forefront. Having been singing since a very young age, Carmen is now ready to work on her own material and show the world that she has a voice to be reckoned with. She has already teamed up with the likes of Flip Mode Squads very own Rampage and Felony Muzik, Carmen is definitely heading in the right direction. Her work with Birmingham based producer, EMonie of 24XII and GX Records has helped produce some eclectic sounds and great R&B music. Carmen is spending a lot more time in the recording studio working on original material and her own sound, which is a mix and blend of Dance/Trance, R&B and Pop. Fusing all elements together, Carmen is creating a sound that's quite different allowing her to set herself apart from other UK artists. Carmen will be releasing her very first single 'Dance' this year including making her second trip to the states to perform, record and work with a number of producers and feature artists. Expect to see a lot more of Carmen Leigh as she takes to the stage here across the UK and the USA.
